Leila is an entrepreneur and data protection attorney with extensive international experience who spent much of her career building data protection programs for diverse clients, including in private practice, as well as for Workday, Adaptive Insights, and other global organizations. When given the herculean task of preparing decades’ old companies for the GDPR in 3-5 months, she demoed every privacy tech tool on the market. She only found workflow solutions—no tools deeply embedded into the technical stacks at organizations. Leila needed transparency into data processing, with the understanding that to truly build an effective data protection program, all organizations need a foundational, real-time understanding of data flows to evaluate data processing internally and throughout the vendor supply chain. Leila’s extensive experience and passion for privacy drove her to reimagine what data protection means in a globalized, technology-driven world. Building a foundational data inventory and map through better technology became her vision for a privacy and data governance company.

Abhi is a 2X tech entrepreneur and machine learning expert. He spent most of his career building tech and go-to-market for products involving compilers, real-time/large-scale data processing, machine learning, and observability tools for continuous visibility into data flows. Given his work in compilers, Abhi became obsessed with simplifying the expressibility of data-processing intent while automatically synthesizing data types, computation intent, call-graphs, and data flows in applications and machine learning models. In 2019, he started advising first-time founders on product/go-to-market, and was a technologist-in-residence in venture capital. During this time, he was actively exploring how extreme domain specializations in various industries could slow down the speed of innovation, cross-pollination of ideas, and thus human progress overall. He even saw this manifest as silos between different departments within organizations. Ever since, he has been passionate about applying meta-modeling, and machine learning to challenging problems at the intersection of widely different domains.
